In 1997, Andika Naliputra Wirahardja as keyboardist, formed a school band in Bandung, Indonesia. Two of their albums are included on the list of Indonesian all time best selling albums at #3 for Bintang di Surga and #6 for Seperti Seharusnya. Ilsyah Ryan Reza split from the band in 2014.Īs of 2015, Noah has sold more than 9 million albums in Indonesia only and is recognized as the best selling alternative pop/rock band.
They are well known in Indonesia for their simple (sometimes poetic) lyrics, catchy beats, and Ariel's voice. David Kurnia Albert joined the band in 2008 bringing new color to their music. The two member, Andika Naliputra Wirahardja and Hendra Suhendra, split from the band in 2006. The band originally consisted of four members, known as Nazril Irham, Mohammad Kautsar Hikmat, Loekman Hakim, and David Kurnia Albert. The selected countries are Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.Noah (former name Peterpan and stylized as NOAH) is an Indonesian alternative pop/rock band. While for the launching album for “Seperti Seharusnya” is held in the very unusual way, as they decided to hold concerts in five different countries within 24 hours. Later on, NOAH officially appoint David as one of their band members in order to add more color to their music. The video was released on streaming site YouTube channel and has managed a total audience of approximately 2 million viewers within 4 weeks.
It contains contains 10 tracks with the first single “Separuh Aku”. The first album that was released under the band name NOAH was “Seperti Seharusnya”. According to the agreement with the two former members, Ariel, Uki, Lukman and Reza are no longer have the right to use the name Peterpan after their album “Sebuah Nama Sebuah Cerita”. Previously Ariel, Uki, Reza and Lukman are together using the name Peterpan, along with two former members namely Andika and Indra. NOAH is defined as long life, giver of tranquility. NOAH consists of five members, namely Ariel, Uki, Lukman, Reza and David. NOAH officially established through a press conference held in Jakarta, to be precisely at Musica Studios on August 2th 2012.
